C.L. Wirling is an artist and designer located in eastern MA. She recently completed her BA in Art, with a concentration in illustration, from Westfield State University.
A RTIST STATEMENT
"While I primarily work as a digital artist, all my projects start with pencil to paper. I allow myself to be messy and playful, letting the concept solidify before it is refined. Throughout my work, human beings are my prevalent subject. I’ve always been fond of figure drawing, mesmerized by gesture and movement. This is interwoven with my love of storytelling, resulting in a passion for character design. It is fascinating to dissect how shapes, colors, fashion, and body language can convey what a person is like before they speak."
